Abstract

Manado city experienced inflation of 0.68 percent in December 2023, calendar year inflation of 2.87 percent and year on year (yoy) inflation of 2.87 percent. In terms of month to month (mtm) inflation, Manado ranks 5th in Sulawesi Island and 11th nationally, while year on year (yoy) Manado ranks 5th in Sulawesi Island and 36th nationally.

The biggest inflation contributor year on year (yoy) in December was rice by 1.0397 percent and the biggest deflation contributor commodity was shallots by 0.1131 percent.

The largest contributor to month to month (mtm) inflation in December 2023 was cayenne pepper at 0.3500 percent, while the largest contributor to deflation was skipjack/scale fish at 0.0593 percent.
