Abstract

The North Sulawesi Farmer Terms of Trade (NTP) in December 2024 increased by 2.56 percent to 119.50 compared to November which was 116.51. The change in NTP was due to the value of the Price Index received by Farmers (It) increased while the value of the Price Index paid by Farmers (Ib) decreased. The Price Index received by Farmers (It) increased by 1.92 percent while the Price Index paid by Farmers (Ib) decreased by 0.62 percent.

NTP on a Year to Date (YTD) or calendar year basis increased by 5.90 percent. Similarly, the NTP on a Year on Year (YoY) or year-on-year basis also experienced the same increase. The YoY Farmer Exchange Rate rose by 5.90 percent.

In line with the NTP, the Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) also increased by 1.75 percent, from 118.79 in November to 120.87 in December.
